Jermaine J. Sharkey

Jermaine grew up in Janesville, WI with parents Bessie and Sidney, and sister Jeanine. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in education, she worked as an elementary school teacher in the 1950’s and 60’s. Jermaine married John Sharkey on April 21, 1962; their daughter Sharon was born two years later. She moved to Rio Rancho, NM in 1972 with her family, and she resided there for the rest of her life.

Jermaine enjoyed reading, teaching Sunday school, bowling, coffee, chocolate, shopping, and traveling with her family. She bravely fought dementia for the last six years of her life and passed away peacefully in her sleep.
