Jerry L Brown

Jerry L. Brown, 72, of Farmington returned to his heavenly Father on Friday, Oct. 1, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 1, 1938 in Eureka, KS to Wayne and Alma Brown. He graduated from Enterprise Adventist Academy where he met his beloved wife of 54 years, Patricia Ann Haskins. Together they farmed in Fall River, KS. They moved to Denver where he did home construction and built concrete basements. The two eventually moved to Craig, CO where he was a professional sheep shearer and started a fencing company. They moved to Farmington in 1973 and began operating Farmington Fence Company. In 1980 they built Wagon Wheel Country Court which continues today. He loved farming and ranching, especially running the heavy equipment and taking care of his sheep and cattle. He was active for a great many years in the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Jerry is survived by his beloved wife Patricia Ann, their two children Lynnette Brown and Lonny Brown (Shaleen); three grandchildren, Shira Tackett (David), Kayla Hicks, and Rachel Brown; two great grandchildren, Gabriel Tackett and Ian Hicks; his brother Charles Brown (Marjorie) and two sisters, Nancy Byers (Owen) and Janet Flowers (Dick) and numerous nieces and nephews.
