Jerry Lee Dewees

Jerry Lee Dewees, 82, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2025 where he will be united with his parents Arthur Ray and Lula Dewees, his siblings Art and Colleen, sisters-in-law Nancy, Mary, Nellie, Becky, Brothers-in-law Desi, Dennis, Rey, Orie, stepdaughter Claudette Coriz and son-in-law Dean Donley.

Jerry was born on May 23, 1943 in Elk City, Oklahoma. He later relocated to Albuquerque, attended Valley High School, and went on to serve in the U.S. Army. He retired from the University of New Mexico as an electrician. He was an avid motorcyclist, a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association, and proud owner of several Harleys throughout the years. He loved God and his country. He was a fan of travel and crossword puzzles and a connoisseur of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

As he embarks on his eternal ride with the angels, on roads paved with gold, he leaves behind his loving wife, Vera Dewees; his two daughters, Debbie Donley and Crystal Dewees; step children, Patrick Coriz and Melanie Zayas (Jose); his grandchildren: Amber (Justin), Syd, Chloe, Chris, Angela (Carl), Matthew, Sofia, and Miguel; great grandson, Karson, and so many dear cousins and extended family.

Jerry will be interred at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe. He will be remembered with love and deeply missed by all who knew him.
