Jerry Gutierrez

Jerry Gutierrez was born March 17, 1948, and left to go home on December 13th, 2021, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Family meant everything to him, and his grandchildren brought the greatest joy to his life. He was a true patriot who served in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Bronze Star. Jerry leaves behind his wife of 52 years Sylvia, his children Yvette Jaramillo and husband Bruce, son Ricky Gutierrez and wife Shannon. Jerry’s pride and joy was his grandchildren and great grandchildren Justin, Sydney, Adam, Krysten, Tyler, Lucas, Jacob, Cash, and Isabel. Jerry retired from Santa Fe County, and after retirement found joy in working on his home, yard, and helping his friends and neighbors with various projects. He was a very handy man who enjoyed fabricating his own trailers, tools, and whatever else came to his mind. Along the way, he was lucky enough to always have his wife Sylvia by his side. Jerry had many friends, and to those who knew him, he would do anything for you at the drop of a dime. He will be deeply missed by those who loved him, and cared for him.

Services will be held on Monday, January 24th, 2022 at Legacy Church at 10:00 am.
