Jerry Joseph Martinez

Jerry Joseph Martinez, was born February 27, 1963 to Filomeno Martinez and Dora Sanchez in Socorro, New Mexico.  Jerry entered into eternal rest on March 30, 2023 surrounded his friends and family. 

Jerry loved to be out in the mountains in nature.  He often accompanied his best friend and brother-in-law, George Zamora, on hunting trips. Jerry was an altar Server at San Miguel Catholic Parish as a child.  Jerry loved to make many different crafts.  He made crosses out of clothespins and lighters out of popsicle sticks.  Every one of his family has at least one picture frame made from cigarette wrappers. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Filomeno and Dora Martinez;  his brothers, newborn Reynaldo, Raymond, Lazaro, Filomeno Jr., and Joe Martinez;  His sisters , Senaida Greenwood and Rose Roe;  Nieces and nephews, Diana Martinez, Michael Greenwood, Raymond Felipe Martinez, Yvonne Baca;  brothers-in-law George Zamora and Steve Roe.  He is survived by his sisters Antonita Jackson (Mike), Priscilla Martinez, and Bernadette (George) Zamora.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and Aunts.

The Holy Rosary and Mass will be held at San Miguel Parish on April 15, 2023, with the Rosary beginning at 9:30 am; followed by burial at the San Miguel Cemetery.  Pall bearers will be Patrick Martinez, Charlie Martinez, Jeremiah Martinez, Christopher Zamora, James Saiz, and Ray Aragon Jr. Honorary Pall bearer are Horacio Martinez and Rodney Baca.
