Jewel Marjorie Louise Taplin

Jewel Taplin, 86, died on the 28th August 2018 at her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico after a short illness.

At her request there will be no services.

Jewel was born on the 24th of September 1931 in Moulton, Lawrence, Alabama, to Odell and Cleo Dalton. The family moved to Cincinnati Ohio when Jewel and her two sisters were very young. She moved to Albuquerque to attend UNM. It was there that she met her future husband Lloyd Taplin. They were married the 8th of September 1951.

Jewel completed her studies and became an LPN granted by New Mexico Board of Nursing. Jewel went on to work as an LPN for Presbyterian Hospital where she later retired. Jewel led a very busy and successful life and enjoyed travelling and meeting people and had many, many great friends and family.

Jewel was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd.

Jewel is survived by many family members and friends and her heart goes out to all of you.
