Jim P. Sanchez

Jim P Sanchez died unexpectedly on December 28th, 2021 in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the age of 72.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Sanchez; son, John and daughter-in-law, Lubna Sanchez of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; daughter, Loretta Sanchez of Albuquerque, NM; son Antonio and his son’s girlfriend, Kimberly of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is also survived by his sister, Jenny Feyerbend; grandchildren, Elias Garduno, Samarah Garduno, Demaris (Wiggy) Garduno, Noah Sanchez and Daniel Qandah. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Celia (Perea) Sanchez and Santiago Sanchez; his mother-in-law and father-in-law Ramona and Fred Garcia, and by numerous aunts and uncles.

Jim was born on April 4th, 1949 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Celia (Perea) Sanchez and Santiago Sanchez. He attended Valley High school and graduated with his Diploma in 1968. Jim married Teresa Garcia in Albuquerque, New Mexico on July 25th, 1970. They were married for over 51 years and had three children together.

Jim served two years in The United States Army and earned the rank of E.4. Jim was apart of Local Union 254 as a plaster and cement mason, he was a member for over 35 years. Jim was retired for over 10 years, during that time he loved camping, hunting, and tending to his garden.

A Viewing will take place from 10:00 am to 10:30 am on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Church of Incarnation. Rosary will be recited at 10:30 am with a Mass to follow at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Church of Incarnation, 2309 Monterrey Rd NE, Rio Rancho, NM 87144. A reception will take place at the Church of Incarnation Parish Hall after mass. An Interment will take place on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 9:45 am at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
