Jimmie Norton, age 92, passed away February 4, 2020 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born October 17, 1927 to James and Dora Norton in Mansville, Oklahoma. He was a graduate of Mansville High School, class of 1947. He served as Master Sargent in the United States Army for six years. He served during the Korean War and received a Korean Service Medal, United Nation Service Medal, Army Occupation Medal (Japan), Combat Infantryman Badge Army Raider Unit. He was employed by Yellow Freight Lines and was a member of the Teamster Union for many years. Jimmie loved working on cars and enjoyed 4-wheeling.
He was preceded in death by sons, Bill Norton and Steve Norton.
Jimmie is survived by his sons, Don (Lisa) Norton, Tom Norton, Ron Norton, granddaughter, Amber (John) Owen; great-grandsons, Myles and Chase Owen.

Graveside service will be held 12:00 PM, Wednesday, February 26, 2020, Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.
Memorial contributions may be sent to New Mexico Veteran's Memorial in lieu of flowers.
