Memorial services for Jimmie F. Thompson, 58, were 6 p.m., Thursday, July 29, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Lavine, Ariz. Deacon Bill DeMarco officiated. Burial was in family plot, Newcomb. Thompson died July 15, 2010, in Phoenix. He was born June 26, 1952, in Bart, Calif., into the Scattered Wood People Clan for the Walks Around People Clan. Thompson attended Phoenix Indian High School and Northern Arizona University. He was a maintenance man in Tuba City at the Indian Hospital, Indian Health Service. He also did various maintenance, construction and mechanic jobs in Phoenix. Survivors include his brother, David P. Thompson of Phoenix; sister, Marjorie F. Teller of Fort Defiance. Thompson was preceded in death by his daughter, Lori; son, Paul; parents, Fred C. Thompson, Sarah A. Thompson; sisters, Joann Thompson, Theresa Thompson; brothers, Fred Thompson Jr., Paul Thompson, John Thompson, Francis Thompson, Alfred Thompson, Bill Thompson, Richard Thompson.
