Jimmy Griffith, 60, of Counselor, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2010, at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington. He was born June 1, 1949, to Charlie and Lucy Griffith, of Pueblo Pintado. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Jimmy was a loving father, grandfather, and brother.
Jimmy lived in Counselor with his family. He was well known within the community as a carpenter. He made everyone he met a friend. He had alot of friends he made during his employment with the Nacajo Nation. He worked for the Navajo Nation for 15 years.
He was married to Maxine Griffith for 39 years. Together they had six children and six grandchildren. Jimmy will be greatly missed. He was preceeded in death by his parents, Charlie and Lucy Griffith; daughter Rachel Griffith; and brother, Henry Griffith. Jimmy is surrived by his wife; his children, Beverly Borunda, Anthony Griffith, Jason Griffith, Michelle Cayaditto and her husband, Calvin, and Rachelle Griffith; six grandchildren; brother, Bobby, Eddie, and Cecil Sr.; and sisters Annie White (Lee), Kathy, Virginia, Elsie (Truman) and Irene Thomas.
Jimmy cherished and loved his family and friends. The Family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Bevan, Dr. Pandya and Dr. Rondon for taking care of our husband, father, and brother. Jimmy is in the care of Cope Memorial Kirtland Chapel.
