Joan Elizabeth Bento Castillo

CASTILLO - Joan Elizabeth Bento Castillo, 52, passed away on June 26, 2009, in a car accident. She was born in 1957 in Prince George County Community Hospital, Cheverly, MD, to John and Theresa Bento. Joan is survived by her husband, Richard Castillo; her daughters, Emily Rose and Jenna Marie; her father, John Bento, of Tucson, AZ; sisters, Madeleine Bento Boyer, of New Orleans, LA, Marian Bento Hopper, and Marcia Bento Bishop, both of Las Cruces, NM. She joins her mother in peace. Joan graduated high school from West Mesa High, in Albuquerque, NM. She attended the University of Albuquerque, University of New Mexico, and college in Corpus Christi, TX. Joan worked as a Surgical Technologist for the New Mexico Orthopedic Associates. She enjoyed volunteering at her daughter's schools, golfing, quilting, and traveling. Her family came first and her home was always open to many friends.
