JoAnn McClain

It is with a heavy heart that we acknowledge the passing of Jo Ann Fowler McClain on February 12, 2019.  Jo Ann was born in Little River, Kansas on June 1, 1933, the daughter of Karl and Olga Fowler.  Her early childhood was in West Texas.  She graduated from Monahans High School and obtained a degree from North Texas State University in Denton, TX.  Jo Ann and Chuck McClain married in Long Beach, California in 1961.  Jo Ann was an avid supporter of DAR, Alpha Phi and Albuquerque Assistance League. She spent many hours researching family history of her family, and for friends who asked for her assistance.  She loved to travel in their motor home and foreign travel with friends and family. Jo Ann made friends forever. Her high school friends are still some of her closest friends today. She leaves a huge hole in all of our hearts. 

She is survived by her husband, of 58 years, Charles (Chuck) McClain II; Daughter Whitney and husband Greg Foltz of Corrales, and their children, Lauren Briscoe, Megan Maestas, Michelle Foltz and Leslie Foltz. Daughter Meredith and husband Warren Katz of Parker, CO and their children Tyler Katz and McKayla Katz.

She was preceded in death by son, Charles L. McClain, III.  Rest in peace and we love you.
