Joanne “JoJo” Cooper passed away in Rio Rancho, New Mexico on January 15, 2021 at the age of 78.

Joanne is survived by her daughters, Darlene Albano (Clair) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Melinda Cooper of Streetsboro, Ohio; Jessica Allen (Jimmy) of Laurinburg, North Carolina; sister, Shirley Walk (Max) of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; grandsons, Jeff Dowdall of Streetsboro, Ohio; Brandon Scharra of Streetsboro, Ohio; Derek Albano of Albuquerque, New Mexico; nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, Stanley Nowak; mother, Frances Smigalska; sister, Dorothy Stasiak, and brother, Raymond Tomczak.

Joanne was born on May 29, 1942 in Buffalo, New York to Stanley Nowak and Frances Smigalska. She was employed at Defined Fitness and was a Childcare provider for over 7 years. She loved to be outside whether that was camping, boating, fishing, or road trips. She also had a deep love for her dogs. She was an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Rio Rancho, NM.

 


Joanne was cremated and her ashes will be spread at Lake Havasu in Lake Havasu City, Arizona at a later date.
