Joe M. Garcia (Big Joe) joined our Lord on March 5, 2024.  He was born in Manzano, NM on August 7, 1933. Shortly after he was born his parents sold their ranch and moved to Albuquerque, NM.  He was 90 years old and was preceded in death by his parents, Roman and Josephine Garcia, brothers Isidro (and wife Corine), Ross (and wife Terri), Caesar, Felix and his sister, Eucaris.

Joe is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mercy Garcia, children Bernice, Mike (Joe) and Theresa; Jeff and Rishma; Patricia and Randy; Elizabeth and Willie; and his sister, Sr. Bernice.  He was very proud of the fact that he is survived by 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Joe served in the army during the Korean War and when he got out he went to work for Galles Chevrolet; he worked for them for 50 years, retiring in 2006 to take care of his wife.

He was an avid sports fan especially when it came to the Dallas Cowboys! He never missed watching a game.

Joe was an amazing man, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend; He was loved so much and he will be missed very much!

in lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made to ‘Vehicles for Veterans'
