Joe P. Ortiz

Ortiz, Joe P. Age 87, of Bernalillo, passed away on June 10, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Margaret (Rinaldi) Ortiz; children, Zelinda Ortiz (Larry Morales), Joseph Ortiz, Helene C'de Baca; brother, Charles Ortiz; sister, Pearl Stredni; grandchildren, Melissa and Kristen Work, Preciliano and Giovanni Ortiz, Margarita Boyd, Dominic Ortiz (deceased), Jennifer Strosberg, Daniel C'de Baca; and seven great-grandchildren. He was born in Pena Blanca, NM and was a World War II veteran, and an auditor for the State Bureau of Revenue. A Rosary will be recited Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Preciliano and Giovanni Ortiz, Daniel C'de Baca, Romeo and Melvin Ortiz, and Audilio Tenorio. The family thanks his caregivers, Maria Vazquez, Phyllis and Robin from Zia Hospice.
