Vasquez died March 17, 2010, in Gallup. He was born Dec. 14, 1937, in Superior. Vasquez had a master’s degree in guidance and counseling. He retired from the Bureau of Indian Affairs after 30 years in Fort Defiance and Eastern Navajo Agencies. He currently was employed with Heritage Propane. Vasquez loved football and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Judith Vasquez of Gallup; son, Christian Vasquez of Jamestown; brother, Fidencio Vasquez of Chandler; sister, Artemisa Trafton of Salinas, Calif.; two grandchildren. Vasquez was preceded in death by his brothers, Jesus Vasquez, Anselmo Vasquez, Charles Vasquez, Ernest Vasquez, Eduardo Vasquez, Carmen Vasquez; sisters, Teresa Schloss, Amelia Herrera, Magedelona Jimanez. Pallbearers will be Mario Vasquez, Michael Vasquez, Sammy Vasquez, Ray Newby, David Vaquez, Armondo Griego. Arrangements are entrusted to: Cope Memorial Chapel
