John Warren Foley

Age 83, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021. He was born in Olivet, SD on January 18, 1938, to Fred and Loreda Foley. He graduated from Scotland High School in 1956, enlisted in the Air Force and earned the rank of first class, serving six years through the cold war. He married Violet Gimbel, October 1959 spending 61 years together. John then went on to earn degrees from Westmar College and Evangelical Theological Seminary. John worked at Arc US, Arc NM, MidNebraska and Arc Nebraska, improving the lives of people with developmental disabilities. He was a member of Mesa View UMC. John enjoyed square dancing and was a member of the T‑Bird Car Club. He was involved in several charitable organizations. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Loreda Foley, brothers, Gary and Dennis Foley. John is survived by wife, Violet, daughters, Belinda Foley and Jacquie Mader, granddaughters, Hannah and Hailey Mader.
