John Albert Hendricks (83) earned his final set of wings on October 8, 2025. Born November 29, 1941, in Rock Springs, WY. John proudly served our country in the United States Air Force for 26 years, retiring as an E7 in 1986. He continued his service by educating the next generation of airmen through his work at Lockheed Martin, with a final retirement in 2007. John’s legacy spreads across California, Utah, Vietnam, Japan, and New Mexico; finally settling in his home of 40 years, Edgewood, New Mexico. John enjoyed playing and watching sports, camping, fishing, and traveling alongside valued friends and his beloved wife, Alice. John’s life was defined by his love for his family; never missing a moment to express how much he cherished them. Regardless of the miles in between, John’s love was always felt by the family he lived with, those who lived nearby, all of his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews from coast to coast. John peacefully prepared for his passing surrounded by family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Thelma “Alice,” daughters Sherry (Terry) and Terree (Randy); grandchildren JB (Nancy), Kerri (Mark), Taylor (Alex), and Hayleigh; 8 great-grandchildren (Paige, Chase, Micah, Makaya, Ezra, Remi, Laiken, and Brecken); and his unwavering companion, his dog, Bella.
