John Jones

Jones died March 20, 2010, in Chinle. He was born Oct. 30, 1948, in Fort Defiance, into the Towering House People Clan for the Coyote Pass People Clan. Jones graduated from Chinle High School and played football, basketball and baseball. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and peace time. He played with the Chinle Braves throughout the area. Survivors include his brothers, Ban Jones, Bahe Jones; sister, Marie Norcorss. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, Elouise Jones, Jack Begay; sister, Edna Watson; brothers, Ben Jones, Ernest Jones.
