John Anthony Mares Jr.

John Mares Jr, 31, lifelong resident of Albuquerque and Pena Blanca, passed away on April 25th, 2023.

John is survived by his children, Noah Anthony Sky Mares, Malia Thia Mares, Neveah Mae Mares, by his partner of 11 years, Stacilynn Blackie, by his mother Monica Garcia, his father John Mares Sr., his sister Jessica Roybal and husband Reyes, his sister Shawna Garcia, nieces, Serina Tucker and Alexandrite Garcia. John is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

John was a loving and big-hearted person and would always help anyone in need, one thing about John, he loved his family the most. He didn’t care what you were going through, he would help you out if he could and give you the shirt off his back. John was a person who hustled for his family and did whatever it took to take care of them. John was one proud father of his kids and uncle to his nieces, if he was not working, he was spending time with his kids, his nieces, and Staci, exploring New Mexico. John loved to write and make music in his spare time; he had also even started doing art. He had many different paintings and drawings that he had done. John also loved the outdoors, fishing and camping and having BBQs with his family.

John is going to be deeply missed and forever loved by all the lives he has touched.
