John Junior Nielson

Our family is saddened to announce the passing of John Junior Nielson (Junie).

He joined his wife Jean in heavenly eternity on January 3rd, 2023. Nielson, a resident of Albuquerque, was born in La Jara, CO on February 23rd, 1926. He was blessed with a twin sister Laura Jean who he claimed was born second making him the older sibling (all in fun, since he was never sure who was first!)

He is survived by his son Mark Nielson and wife Kathy, daughter Sherralee Higgins, grandchildren Kathie Brunson and husband Bobby, Debbie Carlson and husband Don, and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  John was precededed in death by many family members, most recently his great-grandson Michael Dinkel and granddaughter Cyndi Dinkel.

John served in the US Air Corp during WWII and was called back for the Korean War in 1950. He was a dedicated sales representative for Spitzer Electrical for several decades. John was a member of the Masons, enjoyed golfing, and he loved his pet boston terriers and pugs. He will be dearly missed.

Our family respects the wishes of John and will not be holding services.
