Johnnie Percy Silva

SILVA - Johnnie Percy Silva, son of Marian and Percy Silva of Socorro, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 3, 2012, in Whittier, California, with his loving wife and family at his side. He was born on August 22, 1941, in Socorro. He proudly served in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Mabel Salome. Percy is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Karen; his devoted sons, Darryl Silva; and Troy Silva and wife, Debbie of Whittier; his brother, Bill Silva and wife, Dorothy of Los Lunas, New Mexico; his grandchildren, Brad Silva and wife Janette of Socorro; and Aaron, Trevor, and Ashley Silva of Whittier; great-grandchildren, Candace and Ellee of Socorro; nieces, Joyce Schaefer, Holly Fico and husband Michael; and Brandy; and his nephews, Pat Salome and wife, Melissa; Anton Salome and wife Moniqua ; and Justin Schaefer. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 8:30 am at the San Miguel Catholic Church followed by a Memorial Mass of Resurrection at 9:00 am with Father Andrew Pavlak as Celebrant.
