Jonathan Bradford Koelling of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025, at the age of 57, surrounded by his family. Originally from West Plains, Missouri, Jonathan was born on July 17, 1968. He was the first of four children to John and Jacque (Bradford) Koelling and was their only son.
Jonathan was predeceased in life by his parents, as well as his paternal grandparents, Art and Eunice Koelling of West Plains, MO and his maternal grandparents, Elmer and Veda Bradford, also of West Plains, MO. Jonathan is survived by his devoted wife of 28 years, Jecholia Koelling, his daughters Lauren Koelling Fink (Luke Fink) and Jacqueline Koelling, his son Jedidiah Koelling, his sisters Dusti Callo Koelling (Fred Callo), Weslea Goble Koelling (Allen Goble), Vandi Koelling, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jonathan was a talented math teacher and administrator in the public school system in Albuquerque. He dedicated his career to shaping young minds, always sharing his wisdom and prayers with those around him. Jonathan was smart, funny and deeply loved. He made a difference in the lives of his children, and the lives of so many of his students and friends. Just like his dad and grandmother, Jonathan waged a battle with diabetes over the years and had to resort to an early retirement. He eventually succumbed to his illness from complications after a massive stroke.
As the family grieves this heartbreaking loss, they ask that you consider a donation through this GoFundMe link: https://gofund.me/15ed985be to help cover cremation expenses and honor Jonathan with the dignity and respect that he deserves. Any amount, no matter how small, would be deeply appreciated and go directly toward these costs.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone for your love, prayers, and support during this very difficult time.
