Jose D. Chavez, born July 26, 1945 died June 21, 2022. He was preceded by his parents, Eudoro Chavez and Adelina Chavez; brothers: Frank Chavez, Clovis Chavez, Juan Chavez, Henry Chavez, Johnny Chavez; sisters: Rebecca Martinez, Fedelina Florez, Candy Gonzalez; niece, Ultima Padilla and husband Fabian Padilla. He is survived by sisters Maria A. Chavez and Anita L. Baca; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM at San Jose Catholic Church, 101 Main St, Los Ojos, NM. Interment will follow at 1:00 PM at Ensenada Cemetery, Ensenada, NM. Pallbearers will be: Pete Maestas, Frank Maestas, Adam Maestas, Alex Flores, Fransisco Baca, and Tyler Thompson. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Eugenia Baca and Deidre Saavedra.
