Jose Moreno Jr.

Jose Moreno Jr. was born March 19, 1933 ln Santa Rosa, New Mexico to Jose and Leonora (Olivas) Moreno. He married Irene Gutierrez on April 9, 1958 in Santa Rosa, NM. 

 He was proceeded in death by his parents Jose and Leonore Moreno, son Maximilian “Max” Moreno. Brothers Emerenciano Moreno, Horacio Moreno, Eduardo Moreno. sisters Mariana Lucero and Bertha Archuleta and DIL Annamarie “Amy” Brionez. 

 He is survived by his wife Irene (Gutierrez) Moreno, sons Mario Moreno, Robert (Loretta) Moreno, Daniel “Danny” Moreno, David (Therese) Moreno, and his daughters Sylvia Moreno, Joanne (Frankie Jaramillo) Moreno. 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild as well as numerous nephews, nieces and friends for whom he had a special place in his heart and loved dearly.

 Joe was a great carpenter and cabinet maker, and truly loved his trade. After retiring he became Administrator at Albuquerque Moose Lodge 1517 where he become a member in 1971 and became one of the most respected members. Serving on many committees, charity fundraisers, and boards. Earning his Fellowship degree in 1978 and Pilgrim Degree of Merit in 1989, the highest honor bestowed upon a member. Joe also received the Moose Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020. Above all Joe truly held the Children at Mooseheart throughout the years near and dear to his heart.

 Joe, also known by many names; Dad, Pops, Padre, Joey, Joseph, Josepe, and Joemama, to name a few. He was a loving, kind, caring man, and a devout Catholic who always had kind words or encouragement for all who knew him.

 A special thank you to a kind caring Renee Romo, LPN who was always there to help him and the family in the last few months of his life.
