Josefina G. Manzo-Hoak died on December 6, 2022, in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the age of 95. Josefina’s daughters Mary and Gloria were present at her bedside.
Josefina is survived by her sons, Albert Hoak (Kim) of Conroe, Texas, Edward Hoak (Rita) of Poulsbo, Washington, Glenn Hoak of Albuquerque, New Mexico; daughters, Mary Jo Hoak of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, and Gloria Hoak Otero (Lawrence) of Corrales, New Mexico.
Josefina enjoyed traveling to Mexico spending time relaxing, enjoying the beaches, the culture of her home country, and visiting her immediate family which she did thru her late 70's.
Josefina was the first woman radio announcer who had her own dedicated noon time radio show in the late 1950's for KABQ. She was very well versed and articulate in presenting the news, and other informative topics of the time.
Josefina had numerous grand, great, great-great children. Cremation has been conducted. May she rest in peace in God's embrace.
