Obituary Joseph Etsitty Funeral Services for Joseph Etsitty 62, of Iyanbito, New Mexico will be Tuesday 10:00 AM, April 20, 2010 at Cope Memorial Chapel. Pastor Mark Thomas will officiate. Burial will follow in Tohlakai, New Mexico.. He was born April 3, 1948 in Ft. Defiance, Arizona and passed away April 14,2010 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Mr. Etsitty attended Tohatchi Boarding School and worked on the Railroad. He has worked with NECA, Navajo Feed Store, T & R Feed Store and Quality Home Care. He was involved in rodeos as a bull rider and roper. He enjoyed Country music and worked on Native crafts Survivors include his wife Cora K. Endito of Iyanbito, New Mexico. Sons Burt Shirley of Breadsprings, New Mexico, Todd J. Etsitty of Iyanbito, New Mexico. Darwin and Merle Etsitty both of Iyanbito, Melvin and Ray both of Salt Lake City. Utah; and Daryl Endito of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Daughters Treva A. Etsitty of Breadsprings, New Mexico and Marjorie Yazzie of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Dad Wilson Etsitty of Tohlakai, New Mexico. Brothers, Jerry Etsitty of Tohlakai and James Smith Jr. of Galex, Virginia. 5 Grandchildren. Etsitty was preceded in death by his mother Ruth Tony Etsitty, sisters Lorraine Etsitty Priscilla Etsitty and Gloria A. Etsitty. Pallbearers include Toddy Etsitty, David Martinez, Burt Etsitty, Leo Yazzie, Fred Benally, Jr. and David Etsitty.
