Joseph F. Gurule

Gurule, Joseph F. Age 67, beloved and devoted father, grandfather, son and brother, was embraced by the Lord and taken to his heavenly home, December 28, 2012. He was born in Cuba, NM and was a resident of Albuquerque. Joseph was a proud Marine Veteran. He retired from the Cuba Police Department. Joseph was a kind and loving person, who revolved his life around his mother and his children, and of course the apple of his eye, his grandson. He enjoyed working on his ranch, spending time with his family; and his favorite restaurant was the Western View in Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his son, Luciano Valdez. Joseph is survived by his loving daughter, Amanda Valdez; his precious grandson, Alfredo Joseph Cortez; his loving mother, Vita Gurule; brother, Authur Gurule; nieces Brenda Montoya and Stephanie Chavez, and many other relatives and friends. Joseph will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose hearts he touched. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth St. NW, Albuquerque.
