Joseph "Joe" Ordonez Jr., 71, of Farmington, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 16, 2010, at his residence in Farmington. He was born Jan. 7, 1939, in Deming, to Joseph and Lucy Ordonez. Joe served in the U.S. Air Force during his younger years. He moved to Farmington in 1979, and married the love of his life, Shelly Dennison, in 1987. Joe was the well-known owner of The Deli Factory for 30 years, and will be remembered by many for his friendliness and humor that would brighten your day. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Ordonez Sr. Joe is survived by his wife, Shelly R. Ordonez; his mother, Lucy; daughters, Beverly Marley, Kerri Hill, Linda Davis, and Debbie Boyd; sons, Tyler Ordonez and Jimmy Hurt; brothers, Bobby Ordonez and wife, Selma, Eddie Ordonez and wife, Gail and David Ordonez and wife, Pam; sisters, Margaret Ordonez, Cindy Wyer and husband Herb, Melia Villa and husband, Benny; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and dear restaurant friends. Viewing for Joe will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 21, at Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St., in Farmington. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 22, at Eastside Church of Christ, 2012 Huntzinger Drive, in Farmington., with J.B. Harrington officiating.
