Orlando Vigil, 78, a faithful man of God, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and dear friends, Sunday, August 23, 2026. He was born in Medord, OR and grew up in Shiprock, NM along with his eight siblings. Orlando was known for his faithfulness to teaching the Word of God and sharing the love of Christ to others. He was passionate about missions and reaching the lost world for Jesus. He was an active member at Hoffmantown Church and served on the Missions Counsel along with teaching classes. While living in Hawaii he became an ordained pastor at Calvary Chapel South Shore. Orlando was a world traveler and loved to play golf. He worked at Sandia National Laboratories for 30 years as a Civil and Structural Engineer. He is a proud New Mexico State Aggie and loved to travel down to Las Cruces often. Three things Orlando loved the most, the Lord, his children and grandchildren. He was loving known as Dad, Grandpappie and PiePie.

Orlando is survived by his loving children and their spouses: Tommy and Sandy, Andrew and Christina, and Felicia and Jason. His grandchildren: Mikayla, Brianna, Jacob Vigil; Asher, and Eila Vigil; Caleb, Savannah and Gabriella Moss. He is also survived by his four siblings: Dorthy Delgadillo, Mark Vigil and spouse Karyl, Marianne Smith, and Chris Vigil, as well as numerous extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Ermalinda Vigil, siblings Carolina, Ralph and Tony, and grandson Micah.

A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, September 3 at Noon at Hoffmantown Church. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial following the reception.
