Josephine "Phine" Campodonico

Josephine “Phine” Campodonico, age 89, transitioned from a life on earth to her rightful place with her savior in heaven on Sunday, April 23, 2023, in Albuquerque, NM.

Josephine was known for her unconditional love, grace, and selfless nature. She spent her life in service to God and to others without a need for the spotlight or recognition for her good deeds. In fact, she shied away from any praise or special attention that was bestowed upon her for the many extraordinary things she did for people. She cared for others with a servant’s heart and never had a bad thing to say about anyone.

She was also a legend in the kitchen. The famous “Lowrey rolls” every year for Thanksgiving, the specialty birthday cakes she made for her loved ones, and the meals she cooked for fifty people, when only four people were at the table, would become an extension of the love that she put out in the world.

Josephine was preceded in death by her husband Rodolfo “Rudy” Campodonico; her parents Joseph and Olga Lowrey; brother Kenneth Lowrey; and sisters Elise Bell, and Nan Hall. She is survived by her brother Joseph Lowrey; sisters Bess Powell, Valeria Lowrey and Wanda Sheehan; daughters Phyllis Bewley (Steve), Tess Mirabal (Frank); grandchildren Joseph Bewley (Jenn), Kristen Vinson (Jesse), Exavier Viramontez (Luiza) and Analisse Mirabal. She was also blessed with five great grandchildren, Faithe Bewley, Skye Bewley, Braydon Bewley, Jackson Vinson and Ryan Vinson.

Services for Josephine will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Queen of Heaven Church, 5311 Phoenix Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. The Rosary will begin at 9:30 am, followed by the Mass at 10:00am. Burial will take place on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N. Guadalupe Street, Santa Fe, NM 87501, beginning at 9:30 am. Pallbearers will be: Steve Bewley, Frank Mirabal, Jesse Vinson, Joseph Bewley, Exavier Viramontez, and Johnny Mirabal.
