Josephine Lavigna

Lavigna, Josephine Age 87, longtime resident of Rio Rancho, NM passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raffaele and Antonietta (D'Alessio) Fantacone; husband, Felix Lavigna; brother, John Fantacone. Josephine is survived by her daughter, Linda Ann Lavigna of Rio Rancho, NM; sister-in-law, Salome Fantacone of Las Vegas, NV; nephew, John Fantacone of Albuquerque, NM; nieces, Trisha Little, and Debbie Fantacone, both of Albuquerque, NM. The most important thing in her life was her family. So important that she took on the Philadelphia School Board to increase the nursing services so that each school was assigned a nurse. She played semi-professional baseball during WWII and spent her honeymoon as well playing baseball. Josephine was a longtime member of Grace Outreach Church. Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Sunday, September 22, 2013, at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, September 23, 2013, at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho.
