Josephine Rodriguez

Josephine “Jose” Rodriguez, age 77, passed away on July 11, 2017 in Albuquerque, NM. Jose was born on December 17, 1939 in Alamogordo, NM. She attended Alamogordo Senior High School. On November 28, 1959, Josephine married her beloved husband Florentino R. Rodriguez in Immaculate Conception Church in Alamogordo, they were married for 22 years until he passed away in 1981. Jose worked as an administrative office manager for the Otero/Lincoln County District Attorney office for about 30 years. She was a faithful member of Immaculate Conception Church in Alamogordo for 62 years and Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary in Albuquerque, NM for 15 years.

Ms. Rodriguez was preceded in death by her husband Florentino R. Rodriguez; sister Cecilia Alvarez; her parents Valente L. Sanchez and Josefina Sanchez.
She is survived by her daughters Teresita R. Maldonado of Albuquerque, NM; Patricia M. Rodriguez of Albuquerque, NM; her son Pedro D. Rodriguez of Ft. Worth, Texas; her sisters Victoria D. Sanchez and Louisa Garcia of Albuquerque, NM; and Elaisa Gosnell of Milford, Delware; and her brother Valente L. Sanchez Jr. of Albuquerque, NM; her six grandchildren Easton, Evan, Emerald and Emilio Rodriguez, and Robert and Luci Maldonado; her two great grandchildren Parker and Kinleigh Rodriguez, also her two beloved dogs Johnny and Mabel. Josephine will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her dearly.

A Rosary will be held at 6:00 pm on July 19, 2017 at Daniels Family Funeral Services Wyoming Chapel 7601 Wyoming Blvd, NE 87109. With reception to follow in the Wyoming Sunroom Reception Center.

A Mass will be held at 10:00 am on July 21, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Alamogordo, NM, with burial to follow.

A reception will be held on Friday July 21, 2017 at the home of Mr. John D. Wheeler who is a close friend of the family. 510 San Andres St, Alamogordo, NM 88310.
