Josephine S. Romero

ROMERO - Josephine Romero, age 90, beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, entered into Eternal Life with the Lord, Friday, May 27, 2011. She was born in San Luis, CO and was a resident of Pena Blanca, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Delores Sanchez; daughter-in-law, Carmen (Bobby’s wife); one brother, Dan; and four sisters, Ruth, Alice, Consuelo, and Dorothy. Josephine is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Anthony “Mercy” Romero; her children, Bobby, Joseph and wife Lucy, JoAnn and husband Eraldo, Debby and husband Tony, Misie and husband Dan, Patsy and husband Tony; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; her sisters, Julia and Constance; and other numerous relatives and friends. Josephine will be greatly missed by all. Visitations will be Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Pena Blanca, NM, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:30 a.m. also at the Church. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery, date and time to be announced. Casket Bearers will be Rio, Marshall, Trey, Joey, Rudy, Jerico and Ethyn.
