Josie Mendez Tafoya

Josie Mendez Tafoya, 54, passed away suddenly on Monday February 24, 2020 at Presbyterian Hospital. Josie is survived by her husband Joe Tafoya, children Gabriela Tafoya, Marina Tafoya, Iliana Tafoya, granddaughter Karina Dominique and her 4 beloved dogs Nahla, Oliver, Bambi, and Pooka. She was proceeded in death by her parents Marcos Mendez and Socorro Rojas.   

Josie was a devoted mother and grandmother above all. She adored her children and cherished every moment spent with her family. She especially loved her role as “granny”. She was kind-hearted and always willing to do anything for loved ones. Josie was the heart of our family, from holding the home together to always making us laugh. She will be forever missed and always in our hearts. We love you most. 

The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff, especially Misty Gonzales, at Presbyterian Hospital in downtown Albuquerque for their care and compassionate attention to our mom at this time.
