Joyce Riehl Thomte

Joyce R. Thomte, age 86, died peacefully on Friday, August 27th. She is survived by her son, James C. Thomte and wife Barbara, grandchildren Jo Ann Thomte, Bobby Bicknell and his wife Kristi, and John Bicknell. She was born in Albuquerque on February 17, 1924. After graduating from Albuquerque HS she worked at KAFB where she met, and later married, Lt. Luther J. Thomte. She was a loving and giving wife and mother, working during her life at Bernalillo County District Court and finally as a Presbyterian Hospital Volunteer. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. A visitation will be held this Wednesday, September 1, 2010 between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM at Daniels Family Funeral Service Carlisle Chapel with internment at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or the Animal Humane Association of New Mexico.
