Juanita "Janie" Samora

Juanita Samora "Janie" passed away in Albuquerque, New Mexico on October 13, 2022 at the age of 74.  She was born on June 24, 1948 in Artesia, New Mexico to Ajello Samora and Elodia Alaniz.  She graduated from Artesia High School.  Janie worked for D &M Communications from 2002 – 2021.  She was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church and she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ajello Samora and Elodia Alaniz;  sisters, Katie Dominguez and Nora Baca; brothers, Ronny Samora, David Samora, Lawrence Samora, Gilbert Alaniz, and Junior Samora.

Janie is survived by her daughters, Crystal Baird (Patrick) and Angela Tribble (Ron); sisters, Viola Lopez, of Ontario, California; Ida Ornelas, of Artesia, New Mexico, and brother, Rudy Samora of Montebello, California; grandchildren, Zaylan Baker, Khiran Rodriguez, and Hennessy Tribble.

Services for Janie will begin with Recitation of the Rosary on Friday, October 21, 2022, 11:00 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m., St. Jude's Catholic Church,  5712 Paradise Blvd. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114.  Father Tien-Tri Nguyen will officiate the ceremony.   Interment is scheduled for 2:00 pm at Sandia Memory Gardens, 9500 San Pedro Dr. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87113.  Reception will follow.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Janie’s life.
