Judith Ann Overson

Judith Ann Overson, 70, of Fruitland, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2011 in Fruitland. She was born December 28, 1940 in Wausau, Wisconson to Lee and Evelyn Fletcher. She married Wyman "Lucky" Overson in June 1959 after graduating from Albuquerque High School. They resided in Albuquerque until 1964. They lived in Sheboygan, Wisconsin from 1964 to 1978, Albuquerque, NM. 1978 to 1980, and finally settled in Fruitland, NM in 1980. Judy worked and retired from San Juan County Abstract and Title Company. She was well known and loved by her co-workers and associates. Judy loved her retirement and spent her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Judy was a voracious reader, she took great joy in reading classic and contemporary novels and magazines. She enjoyed the family pets. She loved to crochet, knit, and making blankets for her newest grandkids. Judy was proceded in death by her parents, Lee and Evelyn Fletcher. She is survived by her husband Wyman, brother James Fletcher (Leigh) of Albuquerque, NM, her sons Chris Overson (Stephanie) of Kirtland, NM, Twins Jerry and Terry Overson of Turley, NM, and her daughter, Heather (Gary) Chavez, of Fruitland, NM, as well as her beloved grand children, Sylvanna, Simone, Samantha, Jade, Scarlett, Audrianna, Shauna, and great-grandchild, Andrew, and her many nieces and nephews. A memorial service celebrating the life of Judy Overson will be held Friday, April 22, 2011, at 10 AM, at hte Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Kirtland Stake Center, #10 Road 6523, and HWY 64, Kirtland, NM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Judith Overson Memorial Fund at any branch of the Bank of the Southwest, Account #3318229.
