Julean R. Johnson

JOHNSON- Julean R. Johnson passed away September 4, 2011. Julean was born in Trenary, Michigan on April 27, 1929 to Lucian Blanchette and Edith Martell. She married Theodore (Ted) Johnson in Michigan in 1949 and they had three of their four children there. They moved to New Mexico for Julean's health in 1959 and settled in Albuquerque where Patrick was born. Julean dedicated her life to caring for her family. She also cared for foster children and did volunteer work for the Catholic Charities. She was preceded in her death by her husband, Theodore Johnson in 1988; sister, Audrey Frantz; brother, Ed Blanchette. Julean is survived by her children, Audrey Martinez and husband Tony, Allan Johnson and wife Debbie, Earl Johnson and wife Laura, Patrick Johnson, never married and was tirelessly cared for with complete devotion by Julean; grandchildren, Andrea Breech and husband Mike, Matthew Martinez and wife Fallon, Keith Johnson, Tracie Johnson, Sloan Washburn and wife Amy, Desiree Washburn, Amanda Johnson, Lindsey Johnson, and eight great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM. Internment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM, where she will rest with her beloved Ted. Pallbearers will be Allan Johnson, Earl Johnson, Keith Johnson, Tony Martinez, Mike Breech, Bill Cillessen. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the American Diabetes Association at P.O.
