Julia Archibeque

Our beautiful mother and Nana was called to be with the lord on May 4, 2023.  Julia was 79 years old and a lifelong resident of Algodones, NM. She passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family and loved ones. Julia is preceded in death by her husband Elias, son baby Elias, father Joe, mother Josefita, sister Emma, brother Joseph and brother Martin.

Julia leaves behind 5 children: Eddy wife Denise, Aaron wife Dianna, Dede husband Greg, Janelle husband Joseph, Augustine wife Carmen.

Julia was lovingly known as Nana by her grandchildren Gregory, Ashley, Adam, Maija, Jacklyn, Angelique, Mariah, Rosie, Faith & Joshua.

Great grandchildren Destiny, Elias, Dustin, Lawrence, Lia & Audrina.

Julia is survived by her two sisters, Adela and Sally & her brother Chris.

Julia retired from the Bernalillo Public Schools after 25 years of driving a school bus. After she retired and missing her students she decided to once again drive for the Santa Fe Indian School. Her students lovingly referred to her as “Jewels”. On Julia’s 66^th birthday she received her beloved little dog appley named “Jewels” who just happened to be born on her birthday. Here little dog always stayed by her side and was there until the very end.

Julia loved to garden, spend time with family, most notably her grandchildren always laughing, dancing and making jokes. She will be greatly missed! Rest in peace Nana.

Services will be held May 18, 2023 at 9:30 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Bernalillo

Interment will follow at Algodones Cemetery
