Julian & Maria Martinez

Julian E. Martinez peacefully passed away on August 30, 2022 and his beloved wife Maria (Jessie) Martinez passed away on September 1, 2022.  After 65 years of marriage they both went to be with the Lord together.

They were preceded in death by their daughter Tina Marie Johnson and are survived by their children Kella Carter, Leroy Martinez-Wife Darla; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Julian enjoyed going to the horseraces and playing the guitar. His love for sports included the LA Dodgers, LA Lakers and the LA Rams.  He retired from General Electric after 25 years of service at the age of 55.

Jessie enjoyed sewing, cooking for her family and always put her family first. She retired from the University of New Mexico Hospital after 37 years of service.

Both were loved by family, friends and neighbors and will be missed by all that knew them.

A mass will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 10:00 am at Queen of Heaven Church (5311 Phoenix Ave, NE). Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven for immediate family with a reception to follow.
