K. David Downey

K. David Downey joined his ever-loving Lord and Father on August 13, 2011 at his home in Albuquerque, NM at the age of 40. He is survived by his wife, Natalia Sanchez Downey; son, Jacob James Fox Downey; parents, Dennis and Julie Downey; sisters, Erin Downey, Veronica Griego (Jeremiah), Sarah Downey; brothers, Randy, Robert, Anthony and Keith Downey; grandparents, Sarah and Lee Sanchez; nieces and nephews, Anjelica, Alexis, Brian, Nayo, Eva, Carina and Javier; and many extended loving family, co-workers and friends. David was born on July 7, 1971 in Topeka, Kansas, grew up in Santa Fe, NM, attended Carlos Gilbert Elementary, Santa Fe Prep and graduated from St. Michael��?�s High School. He served as a volunteer fire fighter for Hondo Hills FD. He graduated from NMSU with an EE degree and settled in Albuquerque, NM. He has worked as an Engineer at Honeywell, DAS, and was currently at Goodrich, ISR Systems. David was generous, kind, funny and thoughtful. He was a devoted and proud father, husband, son, and brother and friend. He reveled in providing happiness and comfort to all. David lived a life of honor and care for those around him and his steadfast support and strength is now a compass for those who have known him. Services will be held Friday, August 19, 2011 at 10:00 am at Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE 87109. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in David��?�s memory to Joy Junction, PO Box 26568, Albuquerque, NM 87125-6568. David's care has been entrusted to:
