Kaitlyn Anne Spence

Our beloved Kaitlyn (Katie) Anne Spence passed away the morning of 7-4-2023. She had struggled with kidney disease and failure for many years and is finally at peace.  We will miss her smile and her sense of humor greatly.

Katie was born at Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque and moved to Fort Collins, Colorado as a young child.  She returned to Albuquerque in 2011. 

She had recently completed her studies for Licensed Practical Nursing and was looking forward to working as a nurse.  She was also a Certified Medical Assistant.

More than anything, Katie was an animal lover, especially dogs.  She loved them and they loved her.  She very much enjoyed pet-sitting and made many friends doing so, both 2 and 4 legged. She loved hiking and new experiences.  In Minh Nim, she found the kindred spirit and partner she had always searched for and was happy.

We are grateful for the time we had with Katie and the happy memories.  If you would like to honor her memory, please make a donation to your favorite animal charity and/or become an organ donor.

Memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 20th at
1:00 PM at Daniels Funeral Home, 3113 Carlsile Blvd NE,  Albuquerque, NM
