BETRAUN- Katherine Louise Betraun, 54, loving mother and caring wife departed this life peacefully March 17, 2011 in Rio Rancho, NM. She is survived by her husband, Charles Betraun; parents, Glen and Judy Bastian of Colorado; sons, Nicholas Steele, Kevin Steele both of Colorado; daughters, Danielle Betraun of New Mexico, Jenny Baxter of California; brothers, Butch Bastian of California, Ray Bastian of Colorado; sister, Leanna Howe of Arizona. Kathy was born in Denver, CO on September 18, 1956. She dedicated her life to enriching children and was known throughout the area as one of the finest. She will be remembered by the children and parents for her personal touch and loving way with the kids. She will be missed by all that knew her. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 26, 2011, Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Road Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE and Meadowlark Lane, Rio Rancho, NM. A reception will follow immediately at American Legion, Post 118, 1500 Barbara Loop SE, Rio Rancho, NM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to a local children’s charity of your choice in Katherine’s name.
