Our Katie Bug

Katie was born November 8th, 1997. She was an amazingly beautiful and adventurous free spirit who loved life immensely. Katie passed away due to unexpected medical complications. She so loved the work she did and the people she did it with, helping people with disabilities or otherwise. It was her calling.  Katie had a beautifully infectious, bright, optimistic, happy, loving, inspirational soul and smile that always drew people to her. If ever there was, Katie was truly a beautiful social butterfly and would always light up the room. She was truly an inspiration. She inspired us all with her music, art, and loving optimism and was always sharing her gift of life with family and friends and all those she encountered. She loved most getting together with family and friends, sharing a good meal, conversation, laughing, smiling, telling stories, playing games, and being with those she loved. She loved the great outdoors and all the beautiful places and things in it.  She loved to gaze at the stars, now She is up there with them, and we get to gaze up at her. We all love her so very, very much, and none of our worlds will ever be the same without her being in it. All our worlds, hearts, minds, and souls were touched, impacted, and changed for the better because of it! 

Katie is survived by her Grandmother, Sandra Gates, Mother, Carey Long, Father, Kevin McCuistion, Brother, Joshua McCuistion, Sister, Heather McCuistion, Niece, Mea Star McCuistion, Nephew, Axle Lee Woodrow McCuistion, Sister-in-law, Amber Mayer, Step Father, Stephen J Long, Step Brother, Stephen Long , Step Brother, Billy Long.

Katie is the love in our hearts and the sunshine in our eyes. She will be truly missed by all.
