Kathleen Elaine Mohar

Kathleen (Elaine) Becht Mohar, age 86, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023 in Albuquerque, NM.

She was born September 21, 1936 to her parents, Howard Becht and Anne C. Shomer, in Philadelphia, PA. She moved to Albuquerque, NM with her family in November 1948. She attended Saint Mary’s Grade School and graduated from Highland High School, Albuquerque, NM.

She met and married her husband David A. Mohar April 18, 1957 in Albuquerque, NM.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Becht and Anne C. Shomer, and her sister, Pat Becht Herzog, formerly of Crosby, TX.

She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, David A Mohar; daughters: Kellie Moudy and husband, Kerry of Tijeras, NM, Suzanne K. Mohar of Albuquerque, NM, Laura B. Mohar of Albuquerque, NM, and Jacquelyn Mohar Pacheco and husband Damian of Albuquerque, NM; son, Michael Mohar and wife, Denise of Tijeras, NM; 2 granddaughters and husbands; 3 grandsons; 2 great granddaughters; 3 great grandsons.

She was owner and operator of EM-Tax Services (tax preparation) for 37 years from 1977 to 2014. She was also a Brownie Leader and organizer. Her church membership was at Immanuel Lutheran Church on 300 Gold Ave SE, Albuquerque, NM.
