Funeral Mass for Kathleen Ann Yazzie, 44, will be 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 7, at Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Chinle. The Rev. Blaine Grein will officiate. Burial will be in Del Muerto Community Cemetery. Yazzie was born Feb. 13, 1966, in Ganado, into the Towering House People Clan for the Tangle People Clan. Yazzie attended Many Farms High School, worked as a tour guide for Justin Tso’s Horse Rental in Canyon de Chelly. She was a housewife and enjoyed beadwork and assisting with farm work. Survivors include her sons, Keno Yazzie of Del Muerto, Kenrick Yoe of Chinle; daughters, Kristy Ann Yazzie, Terrilleen Lynn Spencer, Terrillyn Spencer, Kerrill Spencer, Katera Spencer, all of Chinle; brothers, Benjamin Anagal, Gilbert N. Yazzie, both of Blackrock; sisters, Katherine Paymella of Canyon De Chelly, Kathy Ann Yazzie of Navajo. Yazzie was preceded in death by her parents, Elsie Anagal, Freddie Ned Yazzie; son, Gerard Allen. Pallbearers will be George Yazzie, Darrell Wilson, Larry Yoe, Lemen Anagal, Hadley Tsosie, Rick Anagal. The family will receive relatives and friends at Chinle Chapter House.
