On November 23rd, 2025, Kathryn Ann Brainard, a beautiful woman and loving mother, was sent to her eternal resting place. Kathy, aged 66, had her husband Dar at her side as she passed, as well as two of her sisters, Kim Ashby and Jackie Allen, her daughters Karen Aragon and Alyssa Brainard, and her good friends Jolene Sandell and Tricia Cox.
Kathy, born on January 24th, 1959, devoted her life to family. Adopted but no less loved, Kathy made the decision to seek out her birth parents as a young adult, and was blessed with two families she treasured as a result. She was overjoyed to experience motherhood, and she dedicated many years to raising and supporting her daughters and her grandchildren in turn. Her home was made available for them in many times of need, and her generosity made an incredible impact on their lives.
An artist at heart, Kathy loved to create, and has spent a great deal of time painting Southwest landscapes and crafting holiday ornaments, yard decorations, and other whimsical crafts. She also loved flowers and greenery and spent many years developing and decorating her garden. She was particularly gifted with advice, and often served as a calm and supportive voice of logic in her loved ones' moments of crises.
She is survived by her husband, five daughters, eleven grandchildren, three sisters and one brother. The void she leaves behind we'll carry with us, and she will be sorely missed.
