Cody died March 24, 2010, in Crownpoint, N.M. He was born June 12, 1910, in Kayenta, Ariz., into the Folded Arms People Clan for the Manygoats People Clan. After high school, Cody received a veterinarian certification from Albuquerque Indian School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp.,, was a member of the carpenter’s union, received awards for the Navajo Nation aging program and was president of the Navajo Nation aging program for over 20 years. He was a lifelong rancher. Survivors include his sons, Keith B. Cody of Tuba City, Jimmie R. Largo of Crownpoint; daughters Dorothea C. Lincoln, Lori C. Nelson, both of Window Rock, Mary E. Cody, Lisa Yazzie, both of Crownpoint and Lorraine Goldtooth of Tuba City; 31 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Michael Begay, Rodney Tsosie, Loren Nelson, Jerome Crabtree, Robert Cody, Dwayne Lizer, Cody Yazzie, Celestine Lincoln. Arrangements are entrusted to: Cope Memorial Chapel
