Rio Rancho

Kenneth (Stan) Arthur Gutierrez, age 44, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on June 24, 2025, in a tragic car accident.

Kenneth was born in Woodland, California, to Les Gutierrez and Veronica Estrada.

A fiercely independent thinker and a creative spirit in constant motion, Kenneth saw the world through his unique lens—curious, bold, and unafraid to question. He walked a path shaped not by convention but by vision.

Kenneth had one of the purest hearts—his love for the people and world around him ran deep and without condition. He was a gifted artist and accomplished glassblower who brought beauty into form with his hands. He loved collecting fossils, skateboarding, nurturing plants, and was an incredible cook. Kenneth was a free spirit, a quiet philosopher on an endless journey to understand the world and his place within it. He found peace in nature, especially in the Jemez and Quemado mountains. Though he held strong beliefs, he welcomed others exactly as they were, embracing differences with grace. Generosity was his way of being—whether offering his last few dollars to someone in need, sharing heartfelt advice, or showing up with strength and kindness to help move, mend, or carry what others could not.

Although he never sought fame or recognition, his passing momentarily shook the heart of Albuquerque. The outpouring of love and prayers from many, including those we have never met, felt fitting for such a remarkable soul. We are deeply grateful for the chance to witness the boundless energy and love he brought into the world. Thank you. This love has returned to us tenfold through the countless individuals who have reached out to share their stories, adventures, and connections with this incredible human being.

He is lovingly remembered by Tara Stebbins, his soulmate and life love. His parents, Veronica and Eddie Estrada, Les Gutierrez and Janice Usner, sisters Michelle Gutiérrez and Harlan Hobbs, Annette Gutierrez and Tony Delaney, nieces and nephews, Faith and Lassen Paulk, Adela and Inés Hobbs, Shay and Memphis Delaney and granddaughter Bailey Rae Tidwell.

Kenneth embraced his extended family and held them close to his heart—Julian and Selena Tidwell, Riley Stebbins, and the countless beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends whom he considered family.

He will be missed immensely, but we will see him again one day. Until then, love and light, Kenneth, rest in power.
